In light of the recent sadness on our board, I hope that this may help to put a smile on your face.




This handsome boy was rescued in Mississippi, by a dear friend of mine and relatives of a local rescue group. He was tied up to a tree with a wire.  His family had left him there, after the 3 kids were taken away from their mother.  The neighbors fed him, and finally decided it was time to get him out of there.  His saviour was Aunt Cookie, who called her neice, who is the President of a dachshund rescue group (GCDR).  My friend Andrea, drove and got him and will foster him and get him vetted.

I will then travel to Mississippi in 2 weeks..............because I have adopted him !!!!  Yup, adding to my pack and I am so excited !!!  Ru and Bran are getting on up there in age, and I wanted to introduce a new family member so they all can bond.  I like the idea if one has to go to the vet - 2 are always together !

No one knew what he was called, and with Terri's approval , I would love to call him Toby.  I love the name, and it brings special memories of a special little boy.

Nothing like dropping a bombshell on us.  He is absolutely beautiful! Do you have any idea how old he is, what his personality is like, how big is he? Congrats on a beautiful new baby. He doesn't know it yet but he's going from rags to riches.

Andrea thinks he is about 18 months old and weighs about 10 lbs.  He is very very thin - so once he fills out, I feel sure he will be a tweenie
