JetEd73

Full Name: Shorty -Too Cute

Everyone Calls Me:Shorty

Age: 11 months

Gotcha Day: I came to JetEd's house on November 17th

Who I Own or Live With: Looking for a home

Hometown: Crossville TN- currently in Cleveland TN

How Long I have been a Part of the Wiener Writings Family: 5 days

I am a Mini/Tweenie/Standard: 8.5 lbs - Mini

Weight (Only if you want to share): Mini

Hair Color: Red shaded black

Coat Type: Long hair

Eye Color: Black? Brown?

Favorite Person/People: right now, my foster daddy

Favorite Toy: Im fond of chew bones and squeeky toys

Favorite Treat: Milk Bones Marrow Bones

Favorite Things or Favorite Things to Do: Snuggle and play chase

Least Favorite Thing to have done or to do: ???

Where I Sleep at Night: With my foster dad, on top of the covers, I perfer to "nest" rather than cover dive

I am a Hunter/Huntress -- Yes or No: ??? well, i can hunt down my toys and the food bowl for sure.

What I do when my Hoomans are away: Sleep and play with my foster brother Mr. Wilson

Story about me that my Hoomans would like to share: Shorty's orginal owner lost her house to foreclosure, and had to move back to public housing where they didn't allow pets. It's obvious that he's been cared for, no known signs of abuse and he's been socialized pretty well. He's house broken and if I garner a guess, he's one of the smarter dachshunds I've seen. He will be available for adoption very soon, contact Dachshund Rescue of North America at www.DRNA.org

Story that I want to share about my Hoomans: JetEd seems like a real nice hooman but he says I can't stay forever. I'm a good little puppy and would make someone a fine fine companion.

O.K., THIS LITTLE DUMPLING HAS COAXED ME OUT OF HIDING!!

It is I, Auntie Karen and Shorty is on MY short list!  I tried to apply on DNRA.com, but he's not listed yet.  So Mr. Ed, (snort, snort, LOL!!) tell your folks there that he's spoken for!  I'll contact them for my home visit and references and stuff.

Karen, you sure you need another dog?

His DRNA rep said she posted his bio to the website, it should be up soon.

Maryland huh? I guess I could meet you half way or something like that.

:thinik: Well, 8.5 pounds barely qualifies as another dog!  LOL!!

Second, Guinness, he should live and be well, is 13 and 1/2 years old; :apls: but he's no spring chicken.

Third, although I am committed to Merlin and Beau for the rest of their lives, Merlin in particular isn't committed to me or for that matter really to anyone. :dontknow:  He could be an only dog and be quite happy.  Dr. Leaky is a sweet, endearing "Lumpy Butt" boy, and because of him, the two stay forever.  So I love the boys and care of the 'Bama Boys, but after two years of trying to bond with them, I'm a realist.  Beau is bonded to Merlin first and me second, and Merlin isn't bonded to anyone.

Ima is my cuddlebug, and she also loves Guinness. :love3:

I think Shorty has captured my heart in a way that the others did.  I think he'll be happy. :love3:   I think we all will.

Well, if your sure, I'll see to it that he's yours.

My personal suggestion, once you get Shorty, take him or keep him with you for 72 hours straight, I think it's just instinct that they bond to whoever does that. My intiatial impression is that he'd make a fine "older Ladies" companion.

dang, that was easy, he wasn't even in the house 5 days and done found him a home. I knew he'd go fast.

You sure you don't wanna think about it for awhile? My DRNA rep the decision is mine to make. I'm sure you'd make a fine owner for Shorty I just don't want you to get in over your head in dogs.

but either way your at the top of the list, very first in line...not that theirs a line yet

:apls: Could a pupper be any luckier to join the infamous herd?!   :meme: :headbang:   Good for you Karen!!!   I hope everything works out quickly and easily for all of you involved.    I think we all fell in love with Shorty already.  He is such a cute little guy.       Bless you Karen, for stepping up and speaking for him.

My DRNA rep says I have the final say, if she's good with your paper work then I'll see to it that Shorty is the newest member of The Herd.

my guess is that we should consider this a done deal.

He is absolutely adorable.   I'm glad you're taking him in, Karen.   We may just have to pack up the Zs and head down I-70 to drop by.
