We MIGHT be adopting a new furkid!

Keith and I have been talking a LITTLE bit about adding another to our crew. Actually, Keith has been ready for awhile but I needed some more time after Toby-Man.  I figured it would happen when it happens.   I have, however,  been checking out the various rescue groups to see if there is a pupper who would be a good fit.  So....today I was looking at the DARE website and there she was!  A precious little dapple girl named Joann.  Here is the link with her picture...

I've already applied and the woman said that because we had adopted Toby-Man Angel from Florida Dachshund Rescue, she would just contact Patsy, who did our home visit and we might not have to go through that again.  I've written to the foster mom and should hear from her soon.  The very best thing is that JoAnn is being fostered in Clearwater so she is right in our area already! 
Nothing is set in stone yet, but we are moving on this.  Wish us luck!

I'm thrilled for you, Terri. I always knew you would add another to the crew, but understand about waiting. I agree that Oscar will be outnumbered, but he can enjoy being the only guy with all the girls! I can't wait to hear that she is yours!

How exciting for you & Keith!!  Yes, Oscy, you will be outnumbered, but you'll have fun with your sissies, I'm sure...   Terri, she is just beautiful...  I really want another weiner, but until we are moved out of city limits it won't happen, we already have one too many dogs...              I hope this moves quickly and JoAnn is home with you soon...      :xfinger:                I understand about the waiting, I am just glad you are ready to bring another pupper into the crew...    What a great few weeks you'll have, a new pupper AND a new baby!!!
