Adela here,

Long time since I have had the chance to check in...

Just would like a few of the oldies to light a candle. Ninya's last night will be tonight. Her system is shutting down and tomorrow she will cross the bridge. She has had some rough months and after 12 wonderful years it is time to let her go. How selfish we can be to want them to stay forever. So many memories and so much love to let go. If there are such a thing as miracles please send some her way.....:(

She has had some surgeries back and some relating to her paws..cysts and one tumor that turned out not to be cancer. Many tumors in her body that are not cancerous. Now she won't eat and drinks a lot of water and very lethargic which is all signs of cushions disease....a good friend that rescues dogs and is a healer of birds stopped by to exam Ninya and when I asked her what she thought...she said you know Adela..it is time to let her go. And I know she is right..but I am having a problem with that....letting go...how do I let go? She has moved with us 8 times in the last 12 yrs...we are on another move and I think she is tired of moving.

She has slept with me for the last 12 yrs...what will I do now...I am losing my bestfriend.

thanks, adela

It is very hard to do you love her very much and are putting her needs before your own very brave thing to do we as pet parents have to do what we think is best for them. They usually have away to tell you when it is time for them to go you will know in your heart when it is time.I think at one time or another we all have been in your shoes it is so very, very hard to do. Sending rays for your baby to have a peaceful cross over and hugs to you we are to meet our furry kids one day at Rainbow Bridge of this I'm sure it just cannot be any other way.Rays & Hugs to you & yours.

Oh my friend, how your heart must be breaking.  Of course we remember Ninya.  Remember how Dolly woofed at Och and Nin for playing too rough?  What a sweet tomboy of a girl, our Nin.  Please allow my heart to be with yours tomorrow.  Ninya had caring hoomans who are wise and knew when to say Good bye.

I'm so sorry to hear this. I know how hard it is to loose a fur baby after having to send my Simon-Angel to the Bridge. I slept with Simon-Angel every night for 11 years. But we also knew that the chances were good that we would outlive them. We knew that as a guardian of our fur babies that we might have to make this decision sooner or later. It's a tough decision to make but it sounds like that it is indeed La Ninya's time.

La Ninya is innocent, she doesn't deserve to suffer. Sending her to Rainbow Bridge is an act of Love, the last great act of compassion. I'm sure it's within you to do the right thing. In time the pain will fade and you'll realize that you did the right thing.

God Bless you and La Ninya.

Prayers and Rays heading your way.

Oh, Adela, my heart goes out to you.  Like you I had to make that same decision this past April.  It's the right thing to do, but so very hard.  You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Adela, we're so sorry to here about Ninya.   It seems like it was just yesterday when you were posting on the original WW board.   Only a handful of the original puppers are still with us.   Ninya will be in great company up at the Bridge with so many of her friends that went there before.   Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Brekkesmom

Oh, Adela, I am so sorry!  I met La Ninya and Ochoco at DD's bowwow in 2001, along with you and Mitch.  Thank you for loving her enough to let her go.  Many of us have been in your shoes, and we know what it's like.    :comfort:
