Hometown: I was born in a puppy mill before I was bought and then I was adopted by mom & dad & now I live in the Lehigh Valley
How Long I have been a Part of the Wiener Writings Family: hmm I’ve been around a while
I am a Mini/Tweenie/Standard: Tweenie-Standard
Weight (Only if you want to share): I’m at about 17lbs now which is perfect for my muscular body
Hair Color: I’m super handsome red/sable
Coat Type: Smoooth, oh yeah
Eye Color: amber
Favorite Person/People: mom & dad… but I’m a Lady’s man for sure!
Favorite Toy: my squirrel is the bestest
Favorite Treat:  carrots and crunchy treats
Favorite Things or Favorite Things to Do:  the typical eat, sleep & bark… I loves attention & belly rubs… I roll over for easy belly rub access
Least Favorite Thing to have done or to do: toes chopped…I gets MAD at mom ! and getting wet
Where I Sleep at Night:  In my playpen next to mom’s side of the bed
I am a Hunter/Huntress -- Yes or No: I likes to kill buggies
What I do when my Hoomans are away: cry ‘cause I miss my humans & try to nap on my bed while Delilah destroys it

Story about me that my Hoomans would like to share:
Many of you know about all of the hardships Frank has suffered from multiple surgeries, IVDD, Chemo, etc.  Some cruel people have said” why would you go through all that trouble and money for a dog?”  We would do anything to save Frank’s life, provided there’s a chance at a good quality of life.  Here is the story of how Franky saved ME:
We only had Frank a short time and were struggling as young couples often do.  To save money on the electric bill, we used a kerosene heater to help heat the house we were renting. We also had a problem of the smoke detector going off anytime we used the toaster…. which led us to take the battery out daily.  On one particular day, I forgot to put the battery back in.
That night hubby was away, so I turned down the heater, then Frank & I went to bed.  I fell asleep but woke up because Franky was barking frantically.  I tried to quiet him down, but he wouldn’t quit.  I got up and opened the bedroom door only to find the house filling with black smoke.  The wick had malfunctioned and the house was full of smoke and soot covered everything.  I was able to get Frank out of the house quickly and opened all of the windows.  I had quite a mess, but I am FOREVER grateful to my little Bitey Brown dog for saving my life!

Most of you know a Story that I want to share about my Hoomans:
My humans love me very much!! They spoil me with love & treats & belly rubs.  I have my own special bed, winter coats to keep me warm, and even a raincoat so I don’t gets wet.  I wish they wouldn’t chop my toes, though.

Good for you for helping your mama get out of that house!!     :apls:   We are proud of you.    Porky sez that carrots are the next best thing to the broccoli.      My favorite picture was the one where Franky is standing on his bed and eating at the same time.     That is such a dachshund thing!!

Thanks EVERYONE for the great comments & KUDOS to Porky's mom & Jet Ed for noticing the eating in bed thing first.  Frank has a lot of quirks.... one of them being he just HAS to be standing on his bed in the kitchen when he eats.  If hubby switches the food and water bowls, Frank paces around and acts finicky (if there is such a thing in dachshunds)


Miss Amy, you could be my special girl from Down Under... we can share breakfast in bed and hide from the rain.
