We're still here!

We've been lurking around when there's a free second now and then!  We're back from eloping to Nantucket! We sold my house, bought a new house and eloped all within 1 week! Needless to say, it was a bit hectic and things are finally slowing down! 

Here are a few shots from our wedding. Yes - those are clouds and yes that's rain...cold rain!  It was sunny and beautiful the day before and after our wedding but cold and rainy on our wedding day! We loved it though. It was absolutely perfect! Just me, Alec, the Justice of the Peace and our photographer. No one else!




The kids have been enjoying the HUGE backyard at our new house! Here's Berman, Lucy and Mango relaxing in the shade while Alec and I built a garden. 


I'm so sorry to hear of all the heartbreak on the board!  I read Terri's post about Toby-Man over and over then went home and smothered my furbabies in hugs and kisses.

Many many rays and prayers going out to all who need them. 

We have a meet-up scheduled next week for an area Dachshund Group. Hopefully I'll get some good pictures to post!

oh - and in case we don't touch base as often as we should, we've been blogging:  www.jennyandalec.blogspot.com.  We were able to blog when we were in Nantucket so our family and friends felt like they were there with us!

I've just finished reading the blog. It is wonderful. I love the way you did your garden. We are going to put one in for some fall greens so I'm going to be referencing yours!
I forget how easy it s to take the power and majesty of the Atlantic ocean for granted sometimes. Since I usually see it once a year, I don't think about what it is like to someone who doesn't see it very much or who hasn't ever seen it. It was great to read about it in your blog. Makes me want to head to the beach-now!! I think it will be awhile, however, while we recover from our own move.
Best wishes to you both as you start this life together. May it be as wonderful as your grandparents. That is a great goal to have.
