Hello from NY

Hi there! My husband and I live in Westchester County, NY (aka the burbs) with our 2 dachshunds. Ellie is a chocolate & tan smooth mini and is 11 months old. Bonnie is an isabella & tan smooth mini and is almost 5 months old. We are first-time dachshund owners but I already know we are hooked for life. We love our girls dearly! I'm glad I found this website. Is there anyone else in the NYC metro area?

Hello and WELCOME! I grew up near Syracuse NY.....family is still there! I now live in Clearwater Florida .
I'm owned by three dachsies. Buelah is a two year old black and tan long hair girl. Oscy is a 1 1/2 year old smooth red boy and Toby,our latest addition is a smooth red 3 year old boy. We adopted him from New Orleans and he came to us on the day of Katrina.
This is a great site! Lots of wonderful knowledgable people who love dachsies! What more could one want?

Post some pictures of your babies! We sure would love to see them!

I was there in March for my first visit. I loved it and will probably be back but not for some time. I live in SW Missouri and I am owned by 4 year old, Tofu, blk/tan, double dapple and 2 year old Siggy, blk/tan. I also have granddog Bella and Hoover that are both blk/tan dapples that you will here about often. I am a member of Dachshund Rescue of North America and have fostered over 200 doxies since Nov 2000. Nice to meet you.

Hi! I live in NYC with my red smooth 3 year old tweenie named Tasha. She's painfully shy, so we've not yet taken her to the Dachsiefiesta in Washington Square Park, but I do know a few other dachsie owners in the neighborhood.

Nowhere near your area (I live in FL but originally a midwesterner), but welcome! I also have two little girls. Dachshunds are very special... it is very easy to get attached.
