Mel here, well DH picked me up to take all three pups in to the vet, he was able to get out of work early to help!! Yeah for me right because my 3 do not like the vet.

Anyway, Mimi went first, and she did great!!! No whinning or anything while she was getting her shot and blood drawn. Of course she flipped out on the way there and she has never ever done that before. The vet told me that she should be on some downers so she doesn't hurt herself!! She has been getting really bad with the storms lately so I may have to give her something when we are going to be having some bad storms.

Then came Tuttle, well he was not so good. I tried to hold him while she clipped his nails, didn't work, he hates it and decided that trying to bite us was the thing to do. So she took him in the back and had to musle him and boy did she look like she went through #(*& when she came back!! And he got out of his collar and took off around the vets office and waiting room!!

Finally Carson, he decided to follow in big brother Tuttle's footsteps!! Yep they musled him as well!! He just had to get his nails chopped though. And she took a look at the horrible mole that has grown very fast and said it was cancer and to have it removed. So he will be going in and having that done and we will have to watch for anymore that try to grow. He is only 2!!! So we were not prepared for that. The mole didn't look that bad to us, after all Mimi has one that isn't and they look almost the same, just different sizes.

The storms won't be coming through our area until midnight or so, though we have had some rumbles the last few minutes. There was a tornado in the middle of the state earlier, haven't heard any reports on that though.

Oh and don't worry, all three pups have had treats galore when we got home!!!
I am a better person because I have my Mimi and Tuttle and now Carson!!!

What a day you had, I can't imagine with 3. I'm so sorry about Carson's mole it sounds like they got it early though! Vet and Dr visits are always so scary you never know what they will find! I'll bet everyone was happy to be home again.

Dee Dee, we didn't have nearly the day you have had!! Mine was a walk in the park compaired to yours!! But yes it is good that the vets got the mole early. I have to get him in next week for it to be removed. They said it was ok to wait till then.

Maybe I should invest in a stroller that will fit three!! Hallie looks so comfy in hers!!

Between Vet visits, thunderstorms & 4th of July fireworks, my dog is a stress mess too. I've tried meds from the Vet but it makes my dog too wobbly to be safe.
I just looked at my order book at PetEdge and seen there is a product called Comfort Zone, it comes in a spray & a plug in wall socket.
It's to calm anxiety in dogs, it costs like $25.00  a spray bottle wondered if anyone has tried it?? Think I will get some and try it out. Maybe I'll see if the Petstores carry it first.

Have you seen the Anxiety's Wrap for dogs it is in Dog Fancy it is a wrap that goes around dogs suppose to calm them in storms its like an all body hug from what I can see of it in the picture.

Too bad about the mole. Best get it removed and hope that it does not return! Good to catch early actually. :comfort:
As for the nails, yes some dogs get all stressed out come clipping time, trying to hold them only increases the stress level, making them freak out whenever the clippers come out!!  :2funny:
Try getting some clippers and little by little every couple days, take the clips out and give a treat, rub it on thier paws and give a partial treat,, slowly build thier confidence that no bad will come, slowly start to nip just a tiny portion off a claw, make a big fuss that they are
SUCH GOOD PUPPIES!! :thumb:
It will go along way to help them relax when its time to clip again..
Our dogs love getting the nails done as they know they are going to be pampered and receive treats....
Help them to turn that stress into a positive experience.
Just something to try anyways...  :xfinger:

Sorry about the mole hopefully they caught it early take a little nap and it will be gone then they can test it make sure that it is nothing bad.
I would love to get the Peticure dreml for the nails as seen on TV since I have a big boy Doberman would have to get the more expensive one hope to get one some day soon. it does not pinch the nail like clippers you just sand off a little at a time not suppose to hurt them at all even has a guard for long haired dogs will not rip out the hair.

PS: did anyone get a Peticure would love to hear about it & how you like it.?

Sending HHHH's & PPPPP's that the mole is nothing to worry about and that you all feel better soon.    :comfort:

I groom dogs and I HATE to cut nails and I have 4-5 dremils but nothing like the Peticure, I use it on almost every dog I groom, I love this thing. The cap keeps the nail dust inside plus if the dog bites at it the dog can't hurt it's self since it's incased. Great tool, I'd buy another one.

Sorry to hear the vet visit didn't go to well.   Porky hates getting his nails done too!  He won't bite but he will put his mouth on your hand and give you a warning look.   I have thought about getting the Peticure thing too, it looks pretty cool.   I really hope the mole is no big deal. I don't think you deserve anymore stress and chaos in your life!!   :doah:  We're sending rays your way for you and all your puppers.

My brother's new puppy has a weird lump on her belly that we are getting checked out at her next vet visit. It has us kinda worried.   Also we found a similar bump on Bandit right under his ribs.   He's my mom's dachshund.  So...we'll have to take him in too.
