ShyAnne here....My sister's and I were in the back yard 'n I got this sticky stuff on me.  It is downright 'barrassin'.  I'm a dainty litl' longhaired girl 'n that ain't pruty!  My hooman daddy calls it pitch...from da trees.. :eeew:

Please,  could someone tell mommy how to get it off'a me?  I don't like baffs because of the terrifer machine that blows on me affer but I would take another one iffa it would werk.

Tanks in advance..

ShyAnne

Try peanut butter or mayonnaise.

At least you'll taste yummy!

Baby Oil might work too, they do have waterless shampoo for dogs used it on Gizmo the Papillon i use to have if her backside got dirty from poo, Cowboy Magic might work also you can find it at cowboymagic.com it is in a tube.

We use mineral oil on our dogs, the pitch from Spruce trees and the buds of the black poplar trees can be so sticky...
We found it works well and has no harmfull effects on the puppers!!! :thumb:
massage it in with your fingers then wipe out with some soapy water and rinse...

Well, I took poor little ShyAnne and rubbed her hinney down with peanut butter and took a flea comb to it.  The part that I had already (stupidly :verdict:) cut looks a bit tacky still but most of the pitch is gone.  I will try mineral oil for the rest on her next bath.

She was pretty good as long as we kept feeding her peanut butter...otherwise she was turning circles trying to eat it off her hinney..LOL! She is only a 12 week old mini so she moves pretty fast....makes tight circles!!

She didn't like the terrifier machine (the hair dryer) as she refers to it...but she did get a full bath out of the deal for the 2nd time in 2 days...

Thanks for all your help!  Sheri
