Prayers for Mimismomma

I know some of you will remember some health issues that Mimismomma was going through.....they were unsure of the diagnosis....could it be the thyroid?  Could it be fibromyalgia??  Could it be MS???  I talked to her last night and she is still having a lot of pain and fatigue....the doctors still haven't made an official diagnosis of her condition.  Mel is to the point that she just doesn't care about anything.....this has been going on and on for months,  Hence, she hasn't been on here much at all.  Melissa could really use your prayers that the doctors will find what is wrong with her very soon....she is very frustrated and tired of having good days and bad days.  She hasn't done too much of anything except rest in bed after a long day at work or watch tv.  Please send her your prayers and best wishes.....she would really use them right now.

Health problems can be soooooo frustrating.  I sure hope you find a good doc who will have more than 4 minutes to really listen to you and CARE about your symptons to diagnose correctly.  Prayers coming your way.

Tons of love and hugs and have they thought of Chronic fatigue syndrome as it does not alwasy show up as set synptoms.

I have her address at home but not here at work.  So, I can't get it until later tonight.  Amorette, do you have it????  I have it from the Christmas card list.....does anybody have it who could get to it right away??  I think cards would do wonders for her.  I did receive an email from her this morning stated her doctor has placed her on Cymbalta for depression and she should be feeling a little better in about a week.  The doctor still thinks it is her thyroid (it is just going crazy up and down) that is acting up....but then Mel will say the doc also still thinks it could be fibromyalgia.....I just feel so sorry for her because I know how terribly frustrating this must be.....

I'm so sorry!!  I couldn't get any internet access yesterday.     I don't have her snail mail addy, but was going to ask her for it. I'm glad it got sent to Barb.  If someone could pm me with it I would LOVE to send her a card!!!

I am back for now! I have missed everyone very much. Thank you all for your rays and prayers. They meant a lot to me to know that I have such a wonderful group thinking of me!

My meds are still not under control but at least I am not viliotly ill anymore. They switched me from Cymbalta (which by the way caused me major headaches, nausea, throwing up, not eating for 4 days etc) to another one Gabapentin Sp? which I have been on for two days and no side effects. OF course it is not helping with the pain or anything but I have to gradually move up the dose so hopefully it will work once I get to where I need.

The doc still thinks that the majority of the problem is my thyroid. Bounces all around. She also thinks it is fibro on top of that. She keeps mentioning MS but hasn't ran and MRI yet. But since I work in the MRI department doing research I may be able to get one done for the tumor study as a volunteer and they will find out then. The depression is really bad for me now. I gave up on everything! I am pushing myself right now to do things and join in so bear with me please. I am doing my best.

It will take me a while to catch up on all the posts so I want to send rays out to all that need them and let everyone know they aren't forgotten on this end!!!
