New Memeber in Maine

We have a small kennel in Maine USA where we have wire and smooth dachshunds. We have been showing for the last three years. I  have been showing my Standard Wire male and mini  Wire female and a Standard Smooth Black&Tan male. We hope to have the Wire Dog finish his Championship very soon

Welcome to the board.   

I have Zack and Zena.  Zack is a 13 year old will be 14 in March and he is Blk/Tan SS. I showed him all the way through and finished him in the Breeder, owner, Handler class and got a medallion from AKC for it.  We had already had 2 other show dogs and I did do Zeke(red SS) all the way my self too but we weren't the breeder for him.  Zack's mother Zelda (blk/tan SS)was a handful so she got handled by other people most of the time.
Now we have a red SS named Zena who will be 2 on the 7th.  I am showing her sometimes but because she doesn't listen to me very well I was smart enough to have someone else handle her for her majors and she went Best of Winner 2 days in a row.  Now we just need 4 more singles to finish her. But Lynn told me the other day she is good enough to special but we will see about that ...we just do very limited showing around here.
