This is a fund raiser for the rescue group I got Solomon from.  I've gone the last five years and enjoy it tremendously.

Got a new camera at Christmas, and am ready to go.  Last year I took one of those disposable camera's and haven't found it yet.
I think I left it in a bag in my Dad's car, and when he was tidying up it went in the trash.  OUCH!

This year will be different.  Will post proably the next day as it is a 2 hour drive from Knoxville, and Dad doesn't drive anymore so I'll be a bit tired when I get home.

I just joined the DC today and found your posting for the Dixie Doxie Festival.  I was so excited to see someone here who attends out little festival.  My name is Deanette, my friend Bonnie and I are the ones who put the DDF together.  You'll have to hunt me up at the raffle table.  If I'm not there they will know where to find me.

I will definitly look you up.  I got Solly from CCDR and have been going ever since they started.  In fact this Wednesday, the 26th, is his gotchya day.  I brought him home 7 years ago on that day.  He was 4 at the time, and now will be 11.

Looking forward to meeting you.

Yes, I've been to the five previous Dixie Doxie Fests.  This will be our sixth and final event.  An event of the size takes a year of planning and has really become time consuming. (Plus, I no longer live in the south and Bonnie is doing some traveling.) Of course we have an amazing planning group who work the day of the event.  They also organizing the food tables and  donate prizes.

Who did you adopt Solly from?  Was it Sandra and Lou?  They rescued with CCDR about that time in the Knoxville area, wonderful people.

Yes, I got Solly from Sandra and Lou.  You are right, they are great.  In fact there were there the first year and remembered Solly.
