Had my nuclear stress test today....

Will be a couple weeks until they have the results and then I will know if I have a blockage. Nothing like getting shot up with radioactive material to get the day started - LOL !!!! I haven't had cafienne (sp?) since yesterday morning at 8 - so I am going to have a coke and take a nap with Rudy and Brandy ! Treadmill part of the test wasn't too bad - at least I was able to do it !!!!

Barb, I work for a Cardiologist office and we do Nuclears all day long. When the doctor reads it, if theres anything they think they need to address they probably wont wait a couple of weeks. So hopefully you will get the all clear and wont get any early phone calls. And usually the techs that do the tests know if they see something that needs addressing so they will make sure the docs see it. Did you have your test at a docs office or hospital? That may make a bit of a difference in time too.

It was done at the cardiologists office. Very interesting process !!! I would think they would contact me too if something was going on. Great to know you work for a cardiologist - I may have questions !!! Thx !

Actually just heard...... was a normal stress test and they are going to clear me for the surgery !!! ACK - now I have to deal with all that again !!! Not sure when I will re-schedule.

Don't put off your surgery too long, get it over with. As you know, I had the surgery (I call it getting neutered) and it was the best thing I ever did. Its not that bad. It just takes a while to get your energy back, you just have to take it real easy. Its a good time to pamper yourself............ice cream, lots of fruit, your favorite comfort food. I actually had no appetite or cravins whatsoever, nothing sounded good, but I did eat a lot of fruit. Anyway, good luck!!! :thumb:

Barb, so glad to hear that your stress test was normal....yeah....that is wonderful news. Patty is right....don't put your surgery off too long....as Larry the Cable Guy says..."Git er done!" You will feel so much better afterwards!!!!

Glad to hear all is well. As I recall, dreading the surgery was worse than the recovery.

Good news! Re-schedule is ASAP. Who wants to waste any SPRING or SUMMER recoverin' in bed?

That is a relief! That's great Barb!! Yes, get that surgery behind you asap so you can get on with your life and not have these things looming. I'll bet you will be so glad after it's all over.
