Our doxie puppy (b/t smooth) is now 8 months old.  We don't know how we lived without her!!  we had previously owned terriers and retrievers but now this little one owns us.  We were a little leery to get a doxie as we never had experience with this breed but she is the best!!!  Would love to share advice and stories!!

Handle every "Situation" like a dog.
If you can't eat it or play with it,
tinkle on it and walk away.

Thanks to everyone for such a warm welcome.   Having a doxie seems to open the door to an "underground society".   You can't imagine how many people approach us when we have Dixie   out for a walk - wanting to talk about their doxie or the doxie that they used to have.

I am happy to be part of such a splendid group.

Welcome!  Welcome!  Hey, my very first Dachsie was named Dixie.  Properly, Dixie Doxie Tearing Tornado.  She, too, was a b/t smoothie.  What a wild one she was!!  That was many a moon ago and now we have Madison aka Maddie or Madderoo.  She is a mini b/t smoothie, petite at 10 lbs.  She's getting up there at 10 years old.  Again, WELCOME!
