There's gonna be a weddin' in..........NEW YORK?

Hey y'all, thought I'd share with you that my dad is getting remarried after being a widower for 3 years.  He met his Intended on a cruise ship bound for Italy last......OCTOBER.  Not long to court but it was love at first site.  She lives in NY state and they have had mostly a correspondence/phone/fax (no email, dad doesn't have it) relationship.  She came out to CA last week and we kids got to meet Joyce last Saturday at a dinner hosted by yours-truly.  1st impressions?  She's GREAT!  It's so great to see Dad soaring on cloud nine.  They seem to have soooo much in common and they just LOOK totally in love.

Wedding will be in her home town (No, we're not flying out) and then they will move her here to live in my dad's granny unit attached to my brother's house.  A reception by my sis and I will happen probably about 2 weeks after she settles in. 

I'm just glad he's so very happy and she, indeed, appears to be a fine lady.  Wishing them many happy years together.

Oh my gosh, another wedding on this board...that is TOTALLY AWESOME....How wonderful for your father and his bride to be!!!  She sounds like she is really a very nice person and they totally fit together...and I am sure your father has great taste in women!!!  Oh a cruise...meeting on a cruise ship (The Love Boat)....how exciting!!!  Oh it's early and I think I am rambling...haha...Congratulations to you all!!!

That sounds wonderful.  They say that when a guy remarries after his wife dies, its a real testimony to the good marriage he had.
