Doxherding Karen

Howdy folks!  I'm the newest member of The Herd!  My name is Daisy.  I am two years old.

I am brown and white.  Auntie Karen says I might be considered a piebald.  I don't know about the pie part, but I am DEFINITELY not bald!

My mother's name was Snow.  My father's name was Muchabo.  My dad had papers.  Auntie Karen gets the paper every morning, so I'm not sure why Muchabo had some.  Maybe he liked chewing on paper.  I love to get my teeth ino Auntie Karen's papers.  I hear Dr. Leaky likes Auntie karen's books.  I wonder if she has good taste in books or has books that have good taste!

I have really nice long ears and the softest coat in The Herd.  I think I'm a mini, 'cause I only weigh 5 pounds.  That's one whole pound less than Guinness, and forget it about Merlin and Dr. Leaky.  They are four times my size and have no manners, so they don't come to play with me in my part of the house.  Roscoe just barks and barks at me.  He makes me a little nervous, so Auntie Karen makes him leave me alone.  He's three times my size!

My kennel is in the kitchen right under the table, and Guinness and I play a game.  I sit in my kennel and Guinness jumps in.  Then I jump out and he chases me all around Auntie Karen's chair.  I zip back into the kennel and Guinness sits outside and whines.  Then he jumps in, I jump out, he jumps back out and around we go again!!  But we only get to do it one or two times before Auntie Karen says, "HEY, HEY, HEY!"  Then Guinness sulks.  Then Auntie Karen picks him up and he snuggles in her chair, behind her.  If Auntie Karen dangles her hand beside her chair, I'll sidle over and she'll scratch me between the ears.  I like that a lot.

So I guess that's all I have to say at this point.  Guinness showed me how to access the Internet, so I'll be checking in from time to time.

Daisy :angel4:

BTW - Someone said that dachshund means "badger hound."  What's a badger?
"I tried marriage and children - it ended badly.
I'm doing much better with dachshunds and rabbits."

That's the strangest looking dachshund that I've ever seen.   Poor Daisy would be confused in our house.   Zeke would be going nuts trying to attack Daisy while Zora would undoubtedly want to mother her.

Brekkesmom

Hi, Daisy - this is Brekke.  Welcome to the weiner board.  Umm, my mom says I can't look at you picture any more, 'cause I hunted one of your relatives down last year, and it is in Wabbit heaven.  ?? Mom says you may need a DNA test, too, if you think you are a badgerhound!  Didja celebrate Hannukkah, or didja miss it?  Licks, before Momma catches me - from Brekke

Dee Dee and Hallie

Oh Daisy is ADORABLE!! Is she a rex? Hallie loves bunnies...I have put her into an X Pen with a bunch and she was in heaven, looking after all of the "babies". I used to have a white bunny and a mini lop, (Mrs. Moose and Duffy) who lived in the house with me, my Dane, standard longhaired doxie and two himalayan cats. They were litter boxed trained (the bunnies and cats) but they did tend to nibble on things! Daisy will entertain the herd!

Wow!  You sure surprised me, Miss Daisy.  I thought we were talking another weinerdog to the Herd.  A bunny?  Wow!  You'd better have a serious talk with those badgerhounds and tell them that you, seriously, are NOT lunch.  Happy hopping and good grazing.

Wow!  What an adventure.
