Today is Siglen's Bridge Day

A year ago, I lost my sweet precious Siglen Altair.  I was trying to drain the hot tub, but I couldn't get the hose to siphon.  I went in the house, got sidetracked, and the next thing I knew, Brekke was scratching at the door.  I went to check on her and she was dripping wet.  I looked up, and there was Siglen, floating head down!  Please keep your furkids safe if you have a hot tub or a pool.  Siglen had always jumped in before when the cover was off, but this time, I wasn't there to set her out on the step.

I like to think of her at the Rainbow Bridge, nestled in my dad's lap with the others.  Dad would have his two - Johanna and Useless, plus Heidi, Gretl, Sorcha, and Siglen.  What a dachsie pile!

My thoughts are with you and Rick.  Siglen reminded me so much of Clifford in her personality.  I really wish the 2 of them could have met.  One day at the Bridge she can greet Clifford as the wonderful hostess she was.

I remember it well because I too lost a beloved little girl to a drowning accident.  Has it been a year already, it hardly seems possible?  I'm sure my Sasha and your Siglen are great pals by now.

I still remeber that night.  I can't believe how fast this year has flown.  I know she and all the other DC doxies are having a ball and the old members are loving them for us till we join them.
