Sarge & Duggie

 :thumb:  One week ago today, our newest addition joined the family.  By the end of the week, the boys started to share more -- beds, couches, laps.......yesterday, they had their first "solo flight" alone in the house as Dave and I went to run errands.  They did fabulously and the Christmas tree was still standing and presents still wrapped and under the tree when we got home!  They get along fantastic and Sarge is truly showing Duggie the ropes.......Duggie follows him just like Looie did....... Here is a picture that I took this morning......

Sargie was born to be a big brother, wasn't he? What a sweetheart! And Dugie...you are being such a good little brother. Dee and Dave, this picture says a lot. I'm so glad he took over for Looie so well.

That is great, when I read you left them solo.....................with Xmas tree and presents, I thought this is not going to end well. So you are really good boys, big hugs and I hope you got treats for that.

Sargey is such a good boy, to be so loving to the newcomers.  Sounds like Duggie is settling in nicely.

Sounds like the dachs-a-pult had perfect aim!   Looks like Looie sent you one heck of a Christmas present.   I know Duggie will never, and can never, replace Looie in your hearts, but I'm sure Duggie is going to go a long way in helping all of you find healing and peace over Looie's passing.

Boy that is an awesome sight. Sarge is such a good boy, it doesn't take him long to warm up! Duggie looks so at home...this has me teary. I know it still has to be so hard for you and Dave but I really do pray Duggie helps you heal! Please keep posting pictures!!!!!!!

This is just AWESOME!  Way to go, Sargey!  You are the perfect big brother!  Duggie, you are just as cute as can be.  What sweethearts!

Dee, what a sweet picture!  When I read about their first "solo flight", I could picture Sargey showing Duggie the ropes saying, "Now dis is da Christmas tree.  We don't bother it.  And da things under da tree are presents.  We don't touch those either....until Christmas!  Let's go take a nap."

Oh Dee, this has got to be  mixed blessing for you.  I'm sure that your missing Louie terribly and I hope that seeing Sargey being such a good brother to Duggie eases the pain a little bit.  The pictures are priceless.....  smooches to both the Spilker boys!
