Re-sizing jpeg images?

I took a couple of adorable pictures of Ozzy in his "costume," but the jpeg images are way too big.  Is there a way to reduce the size of these pictures?  I'm kinda clueless about technical things - I just figured out how to get the pictures out of the camera and onto the home pc!
