Happy News!

TOBEY IS HUNGRY! I mean all of a sudden I cannot feed him quickly enough. Our vet gave him an injection to stimulate his appetite and evidently it WORKED! LOL....he literally tried to grab the cheese right out of my hand! There is a brightness to his eyes that I haven't seen in weeks! Let me tell you all I am simply beside myself with happiness! Buelah and Oscy feel the same as Toby getting things like cheese and roast beef means that they get it to!
This boy is such a miracle! He survived Katrina...barely...and this horrible illness and he is getting BETTER EVERY DAY!
He is just amazing. He has fought so hard. I cannot even begin to tell you how sick he has been. Even our vet is amazed! The most difficult discussion I have ever had was the discussion with the vet about "what happens if he has another infection". It speaks volumes for the power of love. I don't think there will be a day in my life when I will not thank God for sending him to me. He has taught me about patience and enduring love. He has taught me about trust. I adore Buelah and Oscy. Fell in love with them from the moment I saw them as tiny puppies. They have always known what it is like to have plenty of food and they have never known what it is like to have someone that they trust raise a hand to them in anger. They never will. Toby chose to live. I fully intend to make sure that this life of his is just as full of love as I can possibly make it!
So it's a good day. We have a little way to go...maybe a long way. Toby needs to interact with Buelah and Oscy. He needs to learn to be healthy! All in good time. Right now...I'm just thrilled that he is better.

That is happy news! So glad he is doing better. He is so lucky to have come to be one of your "kids". We will keep sending rays that he makes a full and complete recovery and has no more worries!

Reading this has just brought many happy tears to my eyes. Thank you so much for giving Toby the love and security he needed to keep fighting. I think knowing he had a real home to go to made all the difference. That's why I was so glad the vet let him come home at night and be snuggled and loved on. Can't wait to hear the next report. Belly rubs and Kisses to Toby, Beulah, and Oscy. It can't be easy to share all of mom's attention right now!

fantasic news, we'll keep the rays coming for a few more days. Toby youwill have impressed your new siblings by getting them extra food.

What you said about beulah and oscy is so true, Emma and Angus never knew a day from puppy hood when someone did not tell them they were loved and never a meal time would pass with out food. Amy and Oliver I think had food but both never knew, I think what it was to be loved for themselves.

That is such great news and I am so happy for you!

Reading what you wrote about your little Toby brought tears to my eyes. My little Oscar man had many health issues throughout his life and every time he turned a corner was cause for celebration to the max. I never felt worse or worried more than when he was sick, and I never felt more elated than when he was on the mend. Sometimes these little guys of ours can be like a day at the fair, riding the big coasters.

Keep up the good work Toby, your momma loves you so much. You are one very lucky little pupper to have landed with such a good mommie.

That is just so great !!!! These puppers do teach us so much and Toby is one lucky fellow to have found such a loving family. I am elated *sniff* that he is finally turning the corner. Smoochies to all 3 furbabies !

I'm so glad his life will be filled with love.

This just makes my day! I am so happy to hear that Toby is on the mend. The poor little guy has been thru so much. Bless you for hanging in there for him.
