1st Anniversary Gotcha Day for the Zs

It's now been exactly one year since the Zora and Zeke came to live with us. It's been a great year. We couldn't be happier with the two of them. Both are very happy puppers whose tails seem to wag almost constantly.

Zora is our princess. She's not much of a huntress, prefering to mother just about anything she could otherwise eat. However, she is fiercely protective of us and readily assumes a very defensive stance when she feels a threat is imminent.

Zeke is everything a male dachshund is supposed to be. He is fiercely confident, boisterous and energetic. He likes to talk a lot, especially to other dogs, but he's only talk. Zeke seldom backs up his talk with aggression. When Eddie was here, the two of them got into a fight. The thing that was so remarkable was the neither one actually touched the other one. Instead they were both just getting in each others' faces.

I'm sure Rudy & Max are looking down with wagging tails knowing that their hoomans didn't wind up with just "any" dachshund. We got the Zs!

Cannot believe it has only beena year. They are a pair that are totaly at home with each other. so all I can say is ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ on
