Miss Lucy Goosey's Gotcha Day!

Two years ago tomorrow, my sweet girl arrived at her forever home from the DRNA. I can't believe it's been 2 years! It seems like she's been with me forever! I went back through my old posts and was just flooded with memories. We had lost Annie to cancer in August 2005 and were looking for another pupper to help get us all out of the dumps. Then we found Lucy on the DRNA website. As soon as I saw her I knew she was mine! I remember being so nervous with everything from filling out the adoption application to the DRNA rep's home visit to Berman first meeting her! And that first night! The loonnngggessstt (and sleepless!) night! Berman was out to kill his new sissy no matter what! I had to take off work the next day to be the peacekeeper between the two. Oh - and Lucy had a little pee problem. We had to wash her denim panties and bedding EVERY day! But we made it! There have been some rough times since then and some good times too. Lucy is such a sweetheart. I can always count on her to snuggle up with me. Just the other night, we were watching something on TV that made me cry (I think happy tears) and sweet Lucy got up from my lap and licked my tears. SO SWEET!

Anyway - a super fun day is in the works - lots and lots of treats...maybe a visit to the park...we'll just have to see!

Awwwww Happy Gotcha Day Sweet Lucy !!! I can't believe it has been 2 yrs either - I remember your arrival so clearly !!! You lucked out sweet girl - you found the perfect mama !!! Have a wonderful day !
