Did alright at the Alaska State Fair...

...Dan and I had a BLAST

at the fair yesterday. I won three blue first place ribbons and one red second place ribbon (out of seven entries). AND won the C&H Sugar Judges Choice Award. We had so much fun seeing everything and buying stuff. Details and pictures of our day coming soon.
(I really think we should have the Alaska Bow-Wow during the fair, its so much fun!)

WOW....how cool that you won all those ribbons and the Judge's Choice Award Too....and got to spend all that time wif hubby to boot.....YOU ROCK PATTY

C&H Judges Choice Award was for the White Fudge. It has dried cranberries, orange peel and sliced almonds in it. Recipe to follow when I post pictures.

You always come up with recipes that sound exotic and SO good! Cooking really is so greek to me, even when I try hard I can never seem to follow the directions. Seriously. I really think you have to have a lot of talent to cook well.

Well DD.......you have a great talent with the paint brush. I can show you some simple recipes that will WOW people. I'm serious. But I doubt you could make an artist out of me.

I think it would be a lot easier to make an artist out of you than a cook out of me.

Cooking really is a gift, I don't think you know what a talent you really do have for it.

I did though just find out that the miniature bear and crow painting I did and entered at the "Pallyoop" Fair was not only accepted, but out of over 100 entries, won first place over all! I have been invited to the awards ceremonies and what not, I couldn't believe it. Hallie and I don't have a thing to wear so probably won't go though LOL.

Sounds great Patty! I'm so glad you won! I know how much you guys enjoy the fair and I think having the bow-wow then would be great!
