Dee Dee and Hallie

A little late but I had to loan my little digital out for some work stuff and just got it back with the pics on that card.

Hallie had a wonderful birthday. My niece came for a sleep over, which Hallie loved. Much pampering from her (she's 11 and a sweetheart, and HUGE dog lover!). Then on her birthday the next day, we went to the state fair to enter some of my art (the doxie puppy bum for one, I just got notice it was accepted, they only take in about a fourth of the entries) then we took Hallie shopping at two stores and then to my step mom for a big party, presents, followed by a very sleepy puppy.

Looks like a grand time was had by all.  But the last picture looks like Udder Nonsense as there's nothing coming out of the spigots to slurp up...
There's nothing like having a dachshund tongue up your nose at 3 a.m.

Love the pictures!  Both girls are beautiful.  I especially like the picture of your neice and Hallie sitting next to the painting of the woman with her mouth open....and Hallie's got her mouth open too!  Glad that you guys had a fun-filled day.

Did Hallie actually ride those rides?  Hehehehehe.

We went to the Ohio State Fair last weekend, but unfortunately, no pets allowed.....unless you're showing.

Delia and girls

Very cool pictures, DD! It looks like she had a wonderful day! And your niece is a blonde, younger you! You can very much see the family resemblance.

Rachel is doomed to be tall and skinny, between our side of the family (I'm 5'9") and her Dad is 6'6" (my sister, Rachel's Mom, was 5'6" so there was a foot between them). I asked Rachel if she wanted to be tall and she said "Yes but not freakishly tall like my Daddy". LOL.

Beth, Hallie and I are doing obedience demos at the fair so that is why she got in that day. She loved it we both had so much fun, she was prancing and doing her happy spins all thru the demo one day and the guy on the microphone said "OK who wants to take Hallie home with them" and everyone cheered and clapped, which got her going even more she loves the spotlight.  She didn't actually get to ride on the rides LOL I am bad for sneaking into places we shouldn't be to get a shot and I've corrupted my niece now, if you look close you can see she is sitting on "top" of the lap bar just for a quick shot.  :thumb:

WOW WOW WOW!!!  Great pics!  Beautiful girl and a whole lotta fun at the Pullayap (Sp?) Fair. Which I have actually been to.  But I must ask you, what IS that sticking up in the middle of Hallie's special birthday dinner???  'cuz, well, it looks like...........
Shakespeare : "To thine own self be true."
Popeye:  "I yam wot I yam."

ROTFL. I could tell you what it really is, but then it would no longer look like we had a wild party!  :headbang:

When the heck did you make it to the Puyallup Fair? That is so cool. Of course, after the Bow Wow here, it will forever be dubbed the "Pallyoop" fair, thanks to poor Delia who will never live it down after pronouncing it wrong while reading it on a map.  (after all though, how can anyone prounounce something spelled "p-u-y-a-l-l-u-p).

The picture of the Clydesdale -

Six years ago our Doxie wannabe Cooper went ballistic in Elko, Nevada barking at two plastic Clydesdales guarding the entrance to the parking lot.  When we took him out of the van so he could see they were fiberglass, he crouched down and snuck up on them, border collie-style, and nipped them on the back of the hooves!!

Hysterical!!
