My daddy pwobabwy won't come a twucker.  Eben if he does he would onwy take local jobs.  He pwomised us.  Plus, momma and I would go on da woad wif him if he has to go anywhere obernight.  It would be to hard for him to be gone all da time.    We lub him too much.  I start cwying by da door if hes eber late fwom work.   Fanks for da 'vice dough.  You are a good fwiend!

The ZZ's dad is a trucker too.  Unfortunately his company won't let them take the pups in the truck.

The other day Jeff said how did we last so long (37 years)  My answer was "you were on the road".
Don't know how we will do when he retires.   After he is home a couple of days I am frequently ready to ask.  Don't they have a load for you yet?????

I understand the part about having time away from each other. Randy's schedule at the fire department is 24 hours on, 48 hours off. That means I have every 3rd day by myself. When he takes vacation, he gets 3 shift days off, which means 11 days straight at home. By the end of it, I'm ready for him to go back. Even if I'm working some at the time, it is the fct I don't have any evenings to myself. After almost 22 years of this schedule, I'm not so sure of what life will be like after he retires...Could be interesting. Maybe we should get a small apartment somewhere for one of us to go to every 3rd day :thumb:

Hey, guys, no joking around, you know how many military families end up divorcing once Dad is home?  Plan ahead is the best way to go.  That little apartment sounds like a plan!! LOL!
