Great looking furkids you got!!! Although, I must admit, Buddy scared me a little... lol I was bitten by a Doberman when I was younger.... OUCH!!!!

I am still working on getting over my fear of big dogs... I didn't have much choice when I met my hubby, though.... He had a 180 lb. Rottweiler... :crazyeyes: But, they are both very awesome looking.... :thumb:

Thanks for all the great posts about my fur kids I hope everyone will send rays that the brain fairy will arrive at 2 years old with Buddy's brains.

Great pics. I see that Patches is a long hair. What kind of grooming care is required with the longhair. My new furbaby Bandit is a longhair and Max is a smooth coat. Love the easy bath and care with Max, not sure what to expect with Bandit?? :scratch:

Beautiful pics of your kids.

Did you ever notice the similarity between doberman and dachshund skulls? Kind of makes you think that they must have had a common ancestor. We've played with all our dachsies by "pricking" up their ears to make them look like dobermans.

Beautiful babies! One thing I like about dobies is that they are marked just like a black & tan dachsie!

Sorry I have not answered you post about Long haired Dachshunds Patches is my first Doxie so others may have allot more experience than I. Please do not do what I did I only brushed Patches about once a week as a pup she hates it if I knew it when she was a pup she was going to hate it I would have brushed her more.Patches 18 months old I put her up on the dryer so she knows I'm brushing her if she likes it or not. We have been having allot of rain she had a couple of mats on the inside of her back legs that I did not catch. It took me almost a week to get them worked out even using Cowboy Magic I used that on my Bouvier's beards. All I can say is brush every other day get the pup use to it. Patches growls at me every once in awhile when I'm brushing her I just say you better not go any futher young lady.

Your dogs are beautiful!! Buddy is a gorgeous doberman! I love those dogs. (they run a second to dachshunds in my book though.)

I'm sure he'll get his brains soon enough. Keep working with him and he'll figure things out. Thanks for sharing your pictures.
