Ilsa and Chloe went shopping!

All four of us went to a local mall. We had a blast! The girls tried on hats at Build A Bear. Chloe tried on a Texas Rangers T shirt, but it was too small. As usual, I didn't think to take my camera, but Laura had her's handy. Next time...look out, Laura!





Then we went to a nursing home and the girls got to be therapy dogs. Chloe is a registered therapy dog. This was Ilsa's first time. Chloe was a very good teacher and Ilsa did very well!!! I was pretty proud of my curly haired girl!

OMG that second one of Ilsa resting her head on your knee...I would have had to give her the whole chicken sandwhich at that point! 
And little Chloe's tail is just a blur! LOL. LOVE to see you guys in a MALL with these 2 perfectly behaved puppers! Ilsa sure stays in her bag good.

Ha!  My Dolly, when she was here, wouldn't have been looking at your hamburger, she would have had her head in that open burger bag looking for her own burger.  GREAT Pic!

Wow....I must say Ilsa and Chloe are very well behaved!!!  (and adorable too!!!) My two would never stay in a bag like that...they would have jumped up and grabbed the burger and taken off down the Mall.....probably stopping at a fountain to either take a dip or drink and then barking at balloons and small children.....lol

Wow - how great that Chloe and Ilsa can be at the mall!  Is Chloe on leash and not in a sherpa because of her therapy title?  Brekke would snag the food and be off to make friends - or bark and growl if she saw any golden retrievers!  Brekke says, "Hey, I met both of you...but where was Gretchen?"  Mocha says, "Hey, girls - I met you, too, and a special 'hi' to Gretchen who watched all the hoomans who held me at Auntie Delia's house!  Both say hi to Auntie Delia and Unca Ron!

Ilsa and Gretchen say a big hello to Brekke and Mocha and their Auntie Julia! Gretchie had to stay home with her daddy because she's very picky about who she lets around her.  Let's just say, a therapy dog she will never be. It was the first time they were ever separated and Ron said she wouldn't leave the front window. Poor baby! He even tried taking her to the backyard and sit with her. She LOVES the outdoors and never misses a chance to be out there, especially when she has one of us out there with her. He said she bolted through the doggie door and went to the window. Ilsa got a thorough sniff job when she got home.

I was very surprised at the reaction of most of the people. Only a couple people showed discontent with the girls being there. Most would come up to us and ask to pet them. My 2 girls go to the pet friendly places any chance we get to take them, but I wasn't sure what to expect from Ilsa in a mall. Laura had only seen her at dog events and get-togethers here at the house - all situations where she was excited and earned the title 'Little Lady Yaps A Lot.' That title is courtesy of Ron. Anyway, this was the first time Laura got to see her in her 'home life' mode. I think she was a little leary when I mentioned taking her.

She made me so proud when she followed Chloe's lead at the nursing home. The very first lady on the Alzheimer's floor came walking straight up to us with her arms outstretched (sp?). She cupped Ilsa's face with her hands and put her face right up to Ilsa's. I thought Ilsa would freak, but she just stared at the lady, gave her a lick, like she was saying "hello." You guys should see Chloe. She just looks at the patients with those big brown eyes, like they're the only people in the world. Well, some of them. Others, she's laying on her side, enjoying every pet she gets. She was trully born to do this. Oh, and...Julia, she was on a leash because she's better behaved than Ilsa.
