Hey everyone Blusky&Manny&I and Annie&Fritz hope that everyone has a safe and wonderful holiday week-end.Just in case any of you out there in the Dachshie Land are wondering I don't intend to take any of the firkids to any fireworks.I've seen people in the past take their dogs and they sit there wondering why their dogs are howling like mad!!!

Happy 4th to you, too! Nope, no fireworks around here either. Right now our area has a high fire danger. There's already been one north of us and one south. One was started by lightning and the other by sparks produced when someone was using a grinder to sharpen a shovel. We have a lot of beetle-kill spruce around here and all around Anchorage, especially on the "hillside" when all the expensive houses with a view are. That's going to go up in flames one day, and it will be spectacular.
I will be spending my five-day 4th of July weekend splitting and stacking my supply of firewood for the winter and a couple days will be spent at the cabin with family.

Have a very Happy 4th of July too!!! I don't plan on doing any fireworks myself, but many of our neighbors are. Porky and I will probably go in our basement and watch a movie or something to keep him from getting too scared by all the noise. Otherwise we will go out of town where its quiet. Our area is in EXTREME fire danger but everyone is still allowed fireworks, which i think is pretty dumb. :idiot: Oh well I guess when we get a huge fire going somewhere, they might wisen up a bit.

Rick, Brekke, and I want to wish everyone a safe and happy 4th, as well!
We will probably just grill our Hebrew National hot dogs on the grill (the only kind of hot dog I like - and it's even the low-fat version!), and have some slow-churned Dreyer's vanilla ice cream for dessert. We can see three fireworks displays from the backyard, so unless we get a better offer, we'll just stay here and veg. The Boston Pops will do their thing and it's always good to watch.

This is my first fourth of July with The Herd, and Merlin is so freaked out, he hid behind the toilet while I was SITTING on it! :crazyeyes:

They even have poor Roscoe howling! :comfort:

Good ol' Guinness, he just kept on a-yippin' along!

And it's only Saturday night! YIKES!!!

Happy 4Th of July to everyone from Patches & Buddy,hubby wants to go down to the River Parks to watch the Super Big Fire works display but we have a 20% chance of rain suppose to rain everyday this coming week. I'm not sure if i will go with him or not will leave the radio on for the fur kids maybe if hubby allows it . Big frozen Kong stuffed with Peanutbutter & treats will keep Buddy busy maybe 5-10 minutes.Little Kong for Patches.

Hunny here did ja knowed dat my mommy is turnin 30 on that 4th of July thingie but sure don't tell I tolt!! oh and she wants bully sticks for pressies! dat's wat she tolt me anyways!!!

Happy 4th of July back at everyone! Fortunately, Ozzy doesn't seem fazed by thunder nor fireworks. Still, he stays home in the comfortable air conditioning while we go and sweat outdoors to see the big fireworks display Cedar Rapids puts on on the 4th. We did have a great time at the .38 Special concert Saturday night. It was a beautiful night and the closing fireworks were great!

Happy 4th of July from South Carolina. Our plans are still up in the air right now. I'm off work this week and Randy will be off from the fire department on Wednesday. Meghan is flying out to Nashville tomorrow to celebrate the 4th there. She said she lived there for four years, but never got to enjoy their July 4th fireworks which are supposed to be one of the top ten in the nation. I also think she may be missing the city a little bit, too

We usually get together with friends and watch the Washington 4th on TV and then possibly shoot off some fireworks. The weather is supposed to be perfect this year so I'm sure the noise around here will be loud!

Tell Mom Happy Birthday on the 4th...and we will keep all fingers crossed that she gets her favorite Bully sticks - LOL !
