Berman update

I went home at lunch and Berman had had 2 accidents.  I laid down puppy pads in the fun fort for him.  I called my vet to see if I could give him water yet and spoke to my vet for a long time. He said to give him a little water then wait about 10 minutes and give him a bit more. You should've seen my poor baby gulping down water!  When I tried to pick up the bowl, he hung onto it!  Anyway, my vet said the main thing is to keep him hydrated so we're kinda moving away from the emergency vet's instructions. I can give him more water when I get home and start feeding him his special food.  My vet also said I can give him 1/2 an Immodium tablet to help with the diarrhea.  He said if Berman's still lethargic tomorrow, he can give Berman some different antibiotics.  It was very reassuring talking to my vet.  He gave me his home phone # and told me to call him if anything big happens this evening!

Very kewl that he gave you his home phone number !!!  Just let Berman go slow with the water and food......poor baby......

He will be so glad when mommy gets home to take care of him !!!  Let us know how tonight goes......

I use to give Gizmo PediLight when she had bouts of throwing up water when she was a puppy she has Reflux disease kept her from getting IV's at the vets.Wonder if Pumpkin would help settle his tummy,or plain yogurt? Hope he does better soon know he is really thirsty if he is hanging onto the water bowl how about ice chips like they give to people after surgery??? Feel better soon Berman.

Oh man, reading about how he grabbed onto the water broke my heart, I can imagine how you felt! I'm so sorry he isn't feeling good, please keep us posted on how he is doing tomorrow, it's so tough when they aren't 100%.
