Any repercussions with the confrontation with the shovel the other day?   And is Neil still in the dog house?

I am just fine, tank you ant Patty.  But momma had her a dream that I had a gash in my skull.  I made her feel beddah by licking her face.

Daddy wishes he was in the doghouse.  Momma sez that would be a step up.  She also said sumfin' about boyz and how far dey could see, but I am not sure what she ment. Daddy feels just terrible but I feels fine.

Leslie here:  Maybe she wasn't actually hit with the darn thing, and only screamed in suprise.  Honestly when it happened I truly thought I would see her toes chopped off.  I was so mad--ok, still pretty mad--that I made sure Neil was reminded of the time he HANGED Zuzu.  Sure it's a dirty low down thing to bring that up, but I was mad.  Something about a mother bear defending her cub...

p.s. Patty, have you seen the giant floating bubbles from the treatment plant in your neighborhood? I saw the video of it, and they look like cartoon sheep floating through the sky.

OMG! I just read this and your previous post about this!!! I'm glad to hear she's OK. I bet you're right - he didn't quite make contact with the shovel - she would definitely be feeling SOMETHING. Hopefully, that was a big enough scare for Neil to be more careful in the future. I bet he breaks out in a sweat every time he handles the shovel!! I know what you mean about them being underfoot. My 2 are also, except when we're outside. Ilsa is NOT the outdoorsie type. As far as she concerned, the backyard is just a large 'little girls room' - to be treaded on only when nature calls. Anyway, all's well that ends well and hopefully lessons were learned.

Well, maybe not such a low blow when you are concerned about your babies.
Uh...what the hay?  Treatment plant?

What a relief!  Zuzu might have just got a big scare.  Can you imagine what she was thinking when that giant shovel came whirling her way?  Poor baby.  Glad she's okay.

Thank goodness she is OK, I'll bet you are right that he didn't quite hit her but just scared the stuffin' out of her. She probably is still wondering what she got in trubble for! I'd be mad too! But still can't help but feel a little sorry for poor Neil....bad day all around that day! Glad it turned out ok.  :thumb:
