Melanie and I want to thank everyone for the kind words and thoughts expressed after Ivan's passing. We read every one. For me, the words helped put my mind at ease. I know Ivan would be happy. Oh Mack - of course you did enough....your Ivan will be waiting at the other end of the Bridge with his tail wagging furiously.......so glad that his daddy is finally there. In the meantime, he will be watching over you and giving you a big paws up for all the rescues that you help. You were and are an excellent daddy - don't ever doubt it.

Mack I've been thinking of you and Ivan so much, I know you have to be feeling so lost. I am so sorry, there is nothing harder to have to go through in life. I hope you and Melanie find easier days soon. 17 years make a lot of memories!

That is the sweetest picture of Ivan on the memorial site. Of course you did enough! And often the best gift we can give them is letting them go.

I am sorry I can't post more often, but even sorrier when I pop in and see a post like this. Mack, I so wish I could help ease your pain. Meeting Ivan, Hannah and Willy was one of our best memories as doxie owners. I know that Ivan will be on the "other side" waiting for us all. Love to you- I hope you are doing okay.
