Does anybody else's dog do this?

Hubby has a bad habit of simply tossing his bath towel on the master bathroom floor - I get to pick it up and put it in the hamper

Ozzy finds the towel irrestible and roll in it for the longest time.  It's funny to watch, but what is so appealing about a used bath towel? :scratch:  Is it the same as when they roll in disgusting stuff outside?

Again, it is funny to watch, but I don't want to let him do something that might cause harm.  When he's done, he has the "static thing" going and his hair stands almost straight out!

Cookie loves my old bath towel!  Its not dirty so I don't mind if she rolls in it.  She loves it even more if I have put scented lotion on and wiped the excess on the towel.  She also loves rolling in my dirty t-shirts, pants and dryer sheets too.  And if I use Arm and Hammer carpet deoderizer on our carpet, then vacuum it up, she can't wait to get rolling around on the fresh carpet.

She also likes to roll in other dog smells outside too, but I think she prefers the things that smell good like lotion and dryer sheets.  Or things that smell like me, like my clothes.

Oh, we also give her our old sheets to sleep in.  Every Sunday we change our sheets and give her the ones off our bed.  So every week, she gets a new set of "dirty" sheets.  She loves it!

I dont have any dogs that do stuff like this but i do have a cat that will come for petting when i am coming out of the shower but he wants to rub his face on my wet toes. Go figure.

Knock wood....about the only thing Jimmy does is hang up the wet towel - LOL !!!!  So mine don't have one to roll in.....they DO love rolling in the warm laundry and Rudy loves rooting through the dirty clothes as I am sorting into piles.

Patches loves to lick Hubby's ankles when he gets out of the shower??? had a cat one time loved to lick BenGay off you if you had put some on never made her sick?

I've been meaning to ask if anyone else had a doxie who did that. Schatzi will scratch and whine at the bathroom door (unless I haven't closed it as good as I think I have and she pushes it open, letting all the steam out) as soon as she hears me turn the water off. She wants to come in and lick the water on my toes and the she will wait for me to put down the towel I am using for her to roll on. I've finally decided it is one way that she gets clean without her realizing it! The oddest thing-She NEVER does this to Randy, only me. The only time it doesn't happen is if she is sound asleep deep under the covers snuggled up next to Randy and that is only occasionally. Usually she is there waiting on me.

Chilie will attack and shake her own bath towel after I bathe her.  It's funny, like she's taking her aggressions out on the bath towel for having to be clean!  LOL!
