Peanut Butter Recall - Peter Pan

Just in case you use peanut butter in your treats (I do, with Ozzy's Kong treats)....there is a recall of Peter Pan peanut butter.  Serial number starts with 2111.  Suspected samonella poisoning.

I have a jar of PP PB starting with that serial number, so I'm going to throw it out.  Ozzy seems fine, there was no sickness on his part, but I'm going to be safe and get rid of it.

I heard about that too. I buy the walmart brand but this is horrible. What is happening to our food sources?

I just made the fur kids two batches of Peanutbutter biscuits using the Great Value Peanutbutter with the 2111 on the lid before throwing it all away think I will go by the vets and ask them if since they were baked at 350* for 30 minutes if they would be safe to use. Did already use some of the peanutbutter in Buddy's Kong but I froze the Kong before giving it to him no one has gotten sick this was before I heard about the Peanutbutter recall.. I went to the CDC's web site tracking what all it said about the peanutbutter on the site it said something about cooking kills the stuff???,ran across an article about beef dog treats sometimes has this problem so hard to say what to give our Fur Kids. Thought I was doing better by them by baking their own biscuits now not so sure.This bug is caused by feces heck Patches was out in the yard this morning trying to eat some of Buddy's made her drop it so I could throw it away. Yucky dog told her I did not want no kisses from her try to get it picked up all the time before she has a chance to do that.

Did call the vet's said to toss them all cooking did not kill the bug so threw them all away you should have seen Patches face hey like Mom what are you doing them there cookies are ours.I went to Piggly Wiggley boutght more peanut butter Sure Fine brand made more cookies this morning so Patches is now a happy camper,along with Buddy even ole Gizmo ate a part of one.
