New member here who is currently without his dachshund as he crossed the Rainbow Bridge on October 27, 2006. I adopted Field Marshall Erwin Rommel from the Dallas-Ft Worth Dachshund Rescue Foundation on February 28, 1998.  Rommel gave me a GREAT deal of joy and laughter during the over 8 years we were together. I only hope he is saying the same in Doggie Heaven. As you can see from the avatar, Rommel was a B&T smooth-hair, standard dachshund. 

I am planning to adopt another weiner dog after the Holidays.  Life is just not the same with a doxie under-foot!!

Welcome to the board! I'm glad you found us! I'm sorry for your loss. The people on this board are wonderful and a number of them are going through the same situation you are. I hope you can find some comfort here!

Welcome Welcome Welcome.  Everyone here is very nice and you will love being a member here.  Most of the time I just "lurk" but every once in awhile I do post.  Everyone is helpful and great to talk to.  Happy Holidays to you and definitely let us know about your new Doxie addition....life just isn't the same without one...or two....or you know...lol
