those children how to approach a new dog!  I kept really quiet in my cave under hoomom's desk, until after math like I was 'posed to, and then I coughed and Mom said,'Bless you!" and those children said, "Who's that?"  So Mom brought me out and I taught them how to let me sniff them first and Mom told them to never go down for the head, 'cuz that may make us growl, nip, or bite!    :wink:  I gave them all a good lick on the hand, and I did the same lesson for Mom's reading group - well, for the children from the other two rooms that I hadn't met yet.  I had a great day, and I just soaked up attention. Momma shared some lettuce, carrot, and peas, and then a piece of grilled chicken from her Asian salad from MickeyD's!  :headbang:    I reacquainted myself with Mrs. Martinez (Frida and Willie's mom), who is next door to my momma, and scored some major belly rubs!! :hello2:  She says she may need a fuzzball like me!  All the children thought I was very cute and said my fur was so soft, so I did my best to apply the L@@K as much as possible.

I no how fun it is to do!  :thumb:  I went wif my mom to the bite prevshun classes they had with the helf dept.  I luvd meetin all the kids. 
Whn sally asked them what kind of dog I was.  Most rased their hands----wiener dog - hot dog,  but noone had eber heard of a dachshund. 
Mom says we will do that again this year....if I behave myself.

Brekke, that was so good of you to behave for your mom and such a smart thing for your mom to do. Most kids have no idea of the right way to approach a dog and they had a wonderful teacher!!
