We woke up to our first SNOW! Whee!! It's still snowing and beautiful but I have a feeling a certain little doxie isn't going to be pooping anytime soon. That isn't her "exploding" trick though....I got all bundled up before I let her out this morning (peeing is not an issue out there because she has her covered potty area, I just have never been able to convince her it is OK to poop under there too so that action requires a big back yard). I wanted to get a shot of her on her first trip out to the snow for the season, so I have my camera and open the door....she BOMBS down her ramp and into the back yard in an instant wild explosive runny attack! OK...there is nothing cuter BUT this is the little girl who was on crate rest this summer for a sore back so I was turning pale and getting faint (I know there is no stopping her at that point) and torn between staring in stark horror or snapping a few shots. I got off one but didn't catch her in it, she came tearing past me again up the snow covered ramp and into the house 100 mph...I ran in after her trying to do as much damage control as quickly as possible, she was in the living room tearing around like mad, huge grin, eyes bugging, she sat when she saw me and was literally dancing up and down in place unable to contain herself. MOMMY!!!! SNOW!!!!! I just picked her up calmly and told her what a good and funny little girl she is while trying to get my heart rate under control LOL. Right now she is bundled up in her yellow Tweety blanket laying across my arms as I type this.  I'm going to try and get pictures of her later once she's a little caaaalllmmmerrr.....lol.

Anyone else getting snow?

We have at least a foot of snow on the ground.         eLlIe  asks to go out , but when she sticks her head out the door she comes right back in.  Finally I carry her out to a shoveled area and she does all that she has to  VERY quickly and runs back into the house.

No, but we had the runny attack this morning. Love to know what goes through their minds when they start it up. Problem is Oliver runs full pelt around the family room and in trying to get Amy to join him e bowls her over. Her runny time is a tad more sedate.
Don't go giving mumzy heart attacks Haillie.

HAHA!!!! Now, there's a visual! Thanks for the laugh, Hallie! Although, that's enough laughs for a few months.

Ruth I expected the same from Hallie so wasn't prepared for the wild willies! Although you have way more than us, I would LOVE some pictures of that. I am on my way out now to take pictures of my cousins black Friesian and her other horses in the snow!! Yeay!!

LOL Oliver on the ramp warp speed...you are right. Sometimes I wonder if it's even good to have a ramp, Hallie will come running in 100 mph, take a flying leap right as she reaches the ramp and hits in the middle of it. I am trying to come up with some obstacles to slow her down but I'm afraid it will just make her turn and tweak around them. I can see I will be having to chaperone her out to potty every day!

LOL Delia...wasn't I just telling you she wasn't going to be doing this anymore???

Well I just got some shots of her, and once again she got past me and raced into the house from here. GADS I kick myself. Now there is a gate and a door both shut between her and the house until she's done pottying. These show how much fun she has though, a flying snowball!!! And the last pic we are doing the happy dance, she produced!! And in snow!!! What a dawg.

We might get some snow on Friday of this week, but today it was about 65 here.  Rudy will poop in the snow because he has to go in the "right" spot.  Gwen and Roscoe usually go on the patio if there is snow on the ground though.  Heck Roscoe will go on the patio if there is too much dew on the grass.  Heaven forbid his hiney get wet!  :2funny:

Cute pics of HBB!  Thanks for sharing.

Love those pics!  That third one cracked me up!  But am glad that she went in the snow.  Chilie won't go unless I shovel a place for her.  LOL!

The last picture seems to say Gee Mom can't a girl have some Privacy, great pictures we may get snow, sleet,or ice on Thursday will be Patches & Buddy's first snow I hope we just get snow. Buddy is lame Right front leg so keeping him crated for a few days he is not a happy camper had him tied up on a 30 ft cable he broke the snap so he was loose with the girls for a few minutes. The girls were happy to see me put him in his crate Patches tongue was hanging out they must have been running around everyone took a nap.Good thing my husband is a welder he can fix the cable tie out. Only tie Buddy up for about 20 minutes twice a day so the girls can be out with him trying to get everyone use to being out together some.Order Buddy a coat about 3 weeks ago so I get a e-mail yesterday saying they were out of stock so will have to look again. Patches can wear some of Gizmo's coats may have to get a bigger coat for Patches she is popping the Velcro loose on one of Gizmo's coats.
Hallie you looked like you were having a blast in the snow but try not to scare your Mom when you do it.

It doesn't take too long to melt the snowballs off her hair because I always have towels warm from the dryer waiting when we come in.  :thumb: She always gets three, one to lay on, (on top of her thick bed) one is wrapped around her neck up under her chin and the third goes over the top. So just her little nose is sticking out. I love to put my ear next to her nose in there she is almost groaning while she breaths it feels so good!  Whenever I am drying clothes now she sits at the back door and lets out a bark to let me know they need to hurry up and dry so she can get wrapped up.

Sounds like quite a few of you guys are getting snow! I love it! I was taking horse pictures this afternoon and it was snowing and gorgeous out there.

Beth I had an area shoveled for her too lol but she decided to go find a different spot. Tonight it is so cold she stood there looked around and then walked over to a pile of snow I had shoveled to the side so she could get through and peed on that. So now I've put a pile of snow on her ramp so she just has to walk out the back door and goes on that pile of snow. It's funny to watch because she would never dream of peeing on her ramp otherwise. I think she's over the snowy weather!

Oh man I would have flipped too Papbouv! LOL can't you just see them playing away though. Glad everyone is ok. Why is Buddy limping, could it be panosteitis? (sp?).

LOL I agree she was saying I can't believe you are pointing that thing at me NOW!!!

Here is one more, wearing her winter jewelry.

ROTFL!  Thanks for the visual DeeDee!  I'm sure you were worried but it sure sounds like the amazing Miss Hallie is 100% back to normal!
I can't imagine what my little ones would think of snow.  Buelah got to play in it when she was a pup before we moved to florida and she LOVED it.   I'll look forward to seeing the pictures!

I've said this before, but it's simply amazing how Hallie can go from looking so regal to so dog-garn silly and spastic.   In the last photo, she's definitely trying to regain her regal image...she looks like she's saying "Snow...yeah, I can take it or leave it".

Hallie has quite the personality!  And, cute too!  Great post!

What a cute little gal. I agree with other post that she seems annoyed
being photographed while "TCB". As if saying "Do you MIND?" :-)
