Skeeter -- Big Scare! I thought we had a new Doxie!!!!

Skeeter here:  Last night I had a terrible fright!!! There was another doxie in our living--just a few feet from my Daddy!  It's bad 'nuff that I have to share with Boone--I don't want any more competition.  Momma had the doxie on her lap and put MY devil costume on it!!!  Then she set it on the floor and I ran over to it to give it what for -- and it didn't budge at all!!! I went after it two more times,and then I was a little embarrassed.  It wasn't a real dog at all!

I was doing some prep for Halloween, and I brought in a life size plastic dachshund statue that I keep on the front porch.  I had decided to dress it in one of the dog's costumes for Halloween, and set it back out on the porch tomorrow evening in costume to greet trick or treaters.  Skeeter didn't like that at all, and I think she thought it was real at first! She charged it three times before she realized it wasn't a real dog.  She calmed down after a minute or two, but was real wary of it for the rest of the night.

Last year I had put a cape and witch hat on the statue, and a few people mistook it for a rela dog at first.  I think the effect is even better this year!

LOL they are so funny when they are trying to be tough with an inanimate object. Skeeter sez she knew all along she was just practicing for the real thing.  :thumb:
