Booney did very well after his dental cleaning.  We started out our day by dropping him off at the vet, then we picked up a rental car and took my car to the body shop.  Several weeks ago my new car was hit in a parking structure while I was having an eye exam.  $1500 worth of damage and no note or anything.  There are video cameras in the parking structure, and the police are reviewing the tapes to see if they can identify the hit and run driver--but I haven't heard anything so far.

Anyway, we picked up a groggy Boone soon after 5:00 in the rental.  Poor Boone must have felt very disoriented--he couldn't even recognize the car!  At least the car has a bench seat and he could sit up front between us.

The doctor's instructions were NO FOOD that evening.  This was very hard on Boone and for a time he sat next to his dish looking very hopeful.  It was heartbreaking.

Boone needed a little encouragement to eat at breakfast this morning.  he should be back to his little self this evening.

My main worry is the biopsy results.  The growth on his face is called a hemangioma, which is usually, but not always benign.  If cancer cells are found, then it is classed as a hemangiosacoma.  That is what Poldie had.  When I heard that, I was so afraid--I do not want to travel down that road again.

Keep prayers and rays coming and fingers and paws crossed for a good biopsy result.  We should know within one week.

Everything crossed here and sending out rays and prayers for a good outcome.  Please let us know - did they indicate how long?

Thanks, Barb.  When I asked, I was told we would have the results in about a week.  I'll be sure to post when we find out.

Paws are crossed in San Diego for good results!

Penny had a dental last week, and she had a really hard time with the anesthesia! She couldn't even walk very well when we got her home... Penny said to tell Boone she knows how he feels...

Crossing everything but eyes here, for good news about Boone's biopsy!  Sorry to hear about your car's hit-and-run!  I hope the tapes show the license plate clearly!   :verdict:

I can just see poor Boone looking forlornly at his food dish.  So sad.  Glad the dental went well.  Bummer about your car.  Makes me so mad at people when they do something and don't admit it.  Hope the video show something.  Praying that the "thing" on Boone's face is harmless.  My Dolly is starting to get lumpy and bumpy.  She is nine years old........sheeeesh, I can't believe that we've had her for 8 years.  Give Boone a snuggle for me, okay?

Glad to hear Boone's dental went well.   I'm sure the growth on his face is benign.  Max had tons of lumps all over his body...every single one of them was benign.
