I am glad I found this site! It's great! My name is Robin and I am from West Virginia. I have 3 doxies or as I like to call them,"furbabies". They are Flash who is 10yrs. old,Trixie 5yrs old. and Jasper 2yrs. old. We got Flash when he was 9yrs. old and he has been a joy. It didn't take him long at all to become a member of the pack.

Hello Robin, Flash, Trixie and Jasper. I am brand new to this site also. I am owned by two mini dachsies, Zoe who will be 4 yrs old in November and her half brother, Winston, who is 2 1/2. They are both smooth red beauties!! Zoe just had back surgery in August for disc disease...she is doing really well. I also have an Australian Shepherd mix named Sheba who I adopted from our local SPCA here in Cinti, Ohio.

Very glad to meet you and am looking forward also to talking to everyone on this list :)

I'm so proud of our daughter. I just want this to be put out there (anywhere) and maybe some other parents will do the same.

We have two lovable dachshunds, one double dapple and one wire haired brindle. My daughter would have 10 if she could. When she was planning her 8th B-day party she wanted to invite her whole class. My husband and I thought about this, we said if we do this she will have to pick out a charity and not receive any gifts. Being the whole age of 7 she got on the Internet and picked out animal charities(shelters) in our community she would like to donate the $. I called all of the ones she wished for and only one called me back.

She sent out her B-day invitations and requested in bold print NO GIFTS PLEASE, if you like you may write a check to XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX. She invited 27 friends to her party and she received $450.00 to the animal shelter that called me back. When our daughter delivered the $ to the animal shelter the volunteers had tears in their eyes. They were so grateful. For the rest of her B-days she wants to do this. WE'RE SO PROUD!

By the way I want you to know we love our daughter but our dogs are just as important to us as our child. The three of them our everything to my husband and myself.

They just won the Howl-o-ween contest!
