Porky here: my picture is in da book!!

Porky here:  I was just looking around on da internet and found out dat my picture IS in dat photography book. :apls:   I also found out where you can buy it if you are interested.   It is pretty pricey though.     My momma is gonna buy it since it has the photo she took of me in it.  Even though we didnt win a prize we think its pretty cool that momma's picture is getting published in this book.  We took a look at the winners photos on that site and were amazed at how good they were!   Here's the website if you want to order a copy, I'm not sure what page I'll be on or the exact release date,  but if you order it from this site, it will get out to you faster than a bookstore could get it.  The website is: http://www.picture.com   look under the photo winners, and click on one of the names, and it will show underneath the photo  a logo that says order book here.  Click on that and order if you want.  Or you can just have fun looking at all the winning photos!  They really are great.  Some of them i didn't like, but to each his own I guess.

Congratulations Porky I know those books are very expensive Gizmo my Papillon was in one of those books a few years back we could not afford to buy one of those books. Hope your Mom might show us the picture she sent in bet you look great.

Yea, Porky!  How exciting to be included in a really neat book!  Some of those pictures are just gorgeous! I can't believe you didn't win!  Are there any dachsies in the book?

Patches mom,  I posted the picture on here before.  It was of Porky when he was two months old, smiling with a sock sitting next to him.  He had stolen it from the laundry basket.   We do plan on buying the book though, luckilly we have had time to save up for it.

I dont know why we didnt win.   Some of the pictures that did surprised me.   most of them were great,but there were a few I found questionable.   There was one that was on there that looks exactly like a photograph from a professional photographer, except for the fact that the little girl in the picture is different. Hmmmm.....Sounds kinda like a copyright issue there to me.. The reason I know is I have a screensaver program with that picture on it.   I'm also not sure if there are any other daschies, besides Porky in the book.  I do know there are quite a few adorable pictures of kids, ,cats and other animals.  There is a nature section,humor section, animals and pets section, chidren section and a couple others.  i really encoburage you to at least take a look at the winners photos.  I didnt get through them all yet!!!   I think the winner's photos give a good showing of what the book will be like.  I am definately excited to get the book to see all the photos in the book.   While searching the winners I did find a photo taken by one of my college friends when she was in india.  It was really neat.
