Porky here:  i gots da 'fficial word from our friend Doc dat i can run and pway again.   He says my head is just fine now and he was surprised how quick it healed.  My momma showed him the 'riginal x-ways and stuff from the first vet we saw and he was shocked at how bad my 'cussion was.   He says he is pwoud of me getting better so qwick.   I'm still a wittle sweepy, but nofing major.  I eben got to go on a run today wif momma.  We are bof dissappointed dat i had to cancel being in da big fun race on saturday, but its ok.   I can keep pwacticing for next year I guess.

Momma and I had a good run today.  it was perfet weather for it.  Low humidity, nice cooling wind, and 79 degrees.   It was so much fun.  We runned 5 whole miles!!!  Dats the farthest we ever runned before!!!  I also got to go for a walk today with momma and grandma.  We walked down to the beach with my "auntie" Chickory".  She's a black lab and loves to pway.  I dont know why, but momma and grandma get weally nervous evwey time we pway wif each other, cause she is so big.  We weally made dem laugh today.  Chickory was teachig me how to crouch down and bark to pway wif her.  We would face each other, growl  (nicely), den stwetch out our front legs till our chest was in da mud, den we would bark at each other and jump up.  After we jump up we run in a circle and do it again!!  It was the most fun fing i ever did!!!    She's teaching me how to bark like a BIG dog.   I love my "auntie" Chicky.

Hey everyone:  Just wanted to let you all know that Porky is doing just fine.  His head is completely healed now.  His eyes dont jump around anymore like they were after he hit his head.   Like the vet, I was amazed to hear that his head has healed so quickly!   He never needed any pain medication and wasnt too uncomfortable with it either which was a relief.  We are bummed about missing the big race, but there's always next year.  I wrote about the race under the original post i had about Porky's head.  The committee that organizes the race worked hard since last year to ensure that all the saftey concerns, I and many other dog owners had abut the race, were resolved.  We were looking forward to participating since they made all those changes, but then porky got hurt and we thought he would not be well in time.

Very glad to hear you are doing so well I surprised Patches does not do her self in she is a daredevil too maybe all Doxie's are I would not know since patches is my first Doxie. Sure wish your Mom lived in Tulsa Buddy would love to go for a long walk every time I try to walk him I fall apart Total knee burns & hurts? and Heel Spurs so not getting him much exercise so he has started digging. You know what Porky there is an old saying A good dog is a tired dog or A tired dog is a good dog not sure which way it goes.Maybe your Momma is trying to tire you out so you will not run in the house and bump your head again, still think a helmet would look cute on you.
Sorry the Charmin did not work out for you.

Glad you're feeling better, Porky!  Sorry you have to miss the race - that's a bummer.  Oh well, think how fast you'll be next year!  Maybe your "auntie" can teach you some running skills so you can run real fast, but not run into things!
