A change in my life

Hi everyone,

I came to understand years ago that doxie people are the best. Having been a part of this message board and the previous incarnation for many years -- though not as much recently as I would have liked -- I've had the privilege to meet and talk with a lot of nice folks. So I am thrilled to be able to share with you some wonderful news.

I am engaged to be married, and to a woman who shares my passion for dogs, rescue and many other things. We expect to tie the knot this fall, a union that will also bring together six doxies, two basset hounds, one clumber spaniel and a couple dozen canaries and doves. And that doesn't count the fosters! We are going to have quite the menagerie.

My fiancee, Melanie, and I met through rescue, she as a result of her work with basset rescue. Since she had doxies also, she quickly became involved with my group as well, Florida Dachshund Rescue. We're already a team in every sense of the word. We will reside near Fort Lauderdale and continue to be active with Florida Dachshund Rescue and other causes.

Congrats! I just got married in November so I know your excitement. How wonderful for you to find someone that loves animals as much as you do. It sounds like you two have quite a BIG bunch of babies! Again Congrats!!!!!!!

I have known you since dachsie.org and my being banned, though you have not been here as often, it is great when I am able to read one of your posts, I feel I have known you for quite some time. I am glad you are doing well and congrats on the new finance, soon to be wife...and the many furkids you will soon take on. Please tell Melanie not to be a stranger, we all await photos of your new family.

Congratulations Mack! I am soooooooooooo happy for you!
A year ago Christmas(2004) you sent me a card with a picture of your 3 dogs on it.I just wanted to tell you that I have it in a little photo album along with other ones I got that year.
I'm currently in the process of adopting a little sister for Blusky&Manny named Daisy Mae.I'll probably be getting her August 13.
