My girl Zena who was 6 months on the 7th of July is on her way.  We entered her in her first shows this last weekend. I had the girl who handled Zelda for me take her in because I haven't been in the ring since 1997. I am a very nervous exhibitor and didn't want to scare her on her first shows. Sat, she decided she didn't want to walk with Yvette in the ring, but was good aside from that. She did get reserve WB on Sat. Sunday she did much better and won WB from the 6-9 month puppy class.  It was only 1 point but it is a start. I figure I will try showing her at the next show we go to, when I don't have trophy and ring stewarding and helping with setup and takedown to worry about.  Of course the trophies were out the first morning and weren't in the afternoon or the next morning and I was supposed to be ring stewarding at the time. Our Judge was very understanding when I said I had to run to the super to find out about the trophies. The best thing is Zena & Yvette were sitting by the admissions table waiting to go in. Zena decided Yvette was her friend on Sunday after a pointer stuck his nose on her butt and she jumped onto Yvette's lap and Yvette "rescued her".

Thanks Patty.
It was nice too to see Yvette smiling while showing my dog.  Zelda was a handful and she didn't always smile when she showed her. :2funny:

Congratulations to Zena ( and Mom, too).  She has a beautiful color.  I was fortunate to meet Julia B's Siglen who had similar coloring.  I wanted to sneak her into my suitecase when I left.
There's nothing like having a dachshund tongue up your nose at 3 a.m.
