Randy took Molly to the vet this morning. They are keeping her overnight as they try to find out what is going on. Right now it appears that nothing is moving through her system. The vet gave her something this morning, similar to mineral oil, that would hopefully move whatever may be blocking her intestines through, but as of 5:00, nothing had happened. He felt like it should have worked pretty quickly. He has her on fluids and will let us know more in the morning around 10. I think an xray is in the plan for tomorrow to see if something shows up. He asked if Molly could have eaten one of the toys around here, but so far all are accounted for. Keep sending the prayers that we will have an answer and she will be better soon.

Sending rays your way for Molly!  I hope they can find out what's wrong and get her feeling better real soon.

Randy talked with the vet late this morning. Molly is no longer vomiting and is pooping. There is no obstruction, but she seems to have some kind of an infection. Her red blood cell count was quite low and her white cells were high. They have her on a couple of high powered antibiotics to get the infection under control and are seeing if they can find what may have caused it in the first place. Luckily, they have ruled out anything that would be contagious to Schatzi, but are puzzled right now at what it may be. She'll spend the night there again, but hopefully, if she can continue to improve, may get to come home tomorrow afternoon.
I had to chuckle last night when I was talking to Meghan about Molly. She knows that Molly can be unpredictable around strangers, especially as she is getting older. Randy says she is like most older women and can be moody sometimes
Anyway, when I told Meg that Molly would be staying at the vet's overnight she said "Mom, how will Molly handle that, you know she doesn't like people some time!" I thought that was a great reply and I'm sure Molly hasn't been at all thrilled with some of the people at the vet's office even if they are trying to make her better.
Schatzi is completely lost right now. She hasn't been by herself since she was 10 months old. Ecstatic is an understatement for how she was when I came in this evening.
