One Year Ago

It's been exactly one year since Rudy was helped to the Bridge. Hard to believe. In some ways it seems like it was just yesterday. In some ways it seems like it's been far longer. A lot of times Margie and I speculate on what might have been had Rudy still been with us. However, it just wasn't to be. It was his time. It just never seems long enough. Here are some photos of our Rudy throughout his life:

As a puppy meeting Max for the first time:

Rudy & Max, circa 1995

...and in later years, one of the last pictures taken of them together in early 2005.

Rusty, Rudy & Kong...all now at the Bridge. Kong passed 1 year before Rudy did, almost to the day. Rusty passed four days before Christmas in 2001. This picture was taken less than a month before he passed.

That made me cry, boy our time with them goes SO fast and is way, way too short. Thanks for sharing these. It doesn't seem like a whole year to me either.

Oh my - what a moving tribute....tears are rolling down my face. I love the progressive pictures...... I can't believe it has been a year.....I know he has been watching over you though

Yes it is hard to believe that it is a year since Rudy went and 7-6 will be a year since Zelda left us. There will never be any that can take their places. Zack has mellowed since his mom left us. He has tried to take her place nad he really is alot like her. Zena is trying to take over everything :meme: but she is totally different than Zelda was, she is more like Zeke was with playing, not barking, and just watching people and what is going on not barking her head off. I know we will always have fond memories of all our babies.

Gosh - I can't believe it's been a year! Little Rudy is sure missed on this board - he was a very wise soul.

Rudy - give my girl Annie some kisses for me!
