:meme:  Mom mixed in this yellow fluffy stuff with our regular food this morning.  I think they're called eggies.  Whatever they are, they sure are good.  I think mom tries to fool us by mixing the eggies in with our food.  I haven't figured this out yet and end up eating everything in my bowl.  Abbie on the other hand appears to be a bit smarter then I am and digs around in her bowl enough to just find the eggies and eat them with a little bit of her regular food mixed in.  Abbie has no patience whatsoever when it comes to waiting for the eggies to be cooked and cooled.  As soon as she hears the crack of the eggshell, she puts her huge paws up on the counter and starts sniffing around.  Then once mom puts the cooked eggies into our bowls, she does the same thing while their cooling off for us.  Hmph, golden retrievers just have no patience at all.  Of course, I'd probably do the same thing if I were tall enough to do so.  Instead, I just run around in circles waiting for my bowl to be put on the floor.

I know a secret that Abbie doesn't know yet.  She's going to the groomers today.  I could be just a little jealous, but I'm just the right size for mom to give me a bath in the sink.  Abbie on the other hand is way to big for that and if mom tried giving her a bath in the tub, I think mom would end up getting one too.   :doah:

  Mom wanted me to ask if anyone has heard anything about PetAir of which is suppose to be an airline that specifically deals with pets and ships them in the temperature control cabin part of the plane instead of the hot cargo area.  Mom remembers reading some positive articles about PetAir a few years ago, but has never come across anyone who has actually used them or knows of them.  Even our vet didn't know anything about them.  Can you believe that?  Mom's just curious as she's trying to get reassigned to Hawaii next year and definately plans to take me and Abbie with her.  She wants us to fly first class, but isn't sure a normal airline would allow that.  I think I'm a pretty good swimmer so maybe I could just put on floaties and dog paddle my way there.  I'm not sure about Abbie though.  Seriously, if anyone has any input regarding PetAir, mom would truly appreciate it.  She knows it'll be expensive, but believes the cost would be worth it and has been saving up for the possibility of this happening.  She has also been working closely with the vet to ensure she does all the necessary bloodwork, shots, and paperwork within the required time period to ensure that Abbie and I only have to be quarintined a couple of days if we do get to go to Hawaii instead of the standard six months.  Whew!  That would be a long time to be away from mom.

Brenda, I was trying to find info on Pet Air and couldn't find anything. I did find lots of info on entering Hawaii with a pet. I guess it is great that it is a rabies-free state, but it makes for a lot of work to bring pets in the state.
If you haven't seen this already, here are two interesting links. One is from a Hawaiian Airlines about flying into Hawaii with pets and the other is the checklist so you can avoid the 120 day quarantine.
I hope you have the opportunity to go there. It would be quite an experience and the best way to get it!
Keep us all posted

Here's the link I found about PetAir (https://www.flypets.com/default.asp).

As far as the Hawaiian Air link, Charlie would be the perfect weight to fly as baggage, but Abbie would definitely have to go as cargo.  We'll see what happens.  This assignment isn't set in stone yet, but we are in contact with the vet on post regarding all requirements for us to get there and avoid the 120 day quarantine.
