Katie Marie passed two years .It feels like I just lost her. I had my katie for 11 years , she was fine one day and the next we were in the hospital. She suffered so, and I went into to see her and told her if she had to go then you must go. I believe with all my heart she was waiting on me to go. I am going to celebrate her life this year, the love and frendship she gave to me. I will always miss and want katie back that is the mama in me.

I am so sorry for your loss.  Your baby girl will live in your heart forever and I feel sure she is watching over you.   Celebrate your special girl and please tell us about her - we love hearing stories of our Angels.

katie marie passing still makes me cry . I have her in a urn but, for the first year of her passing I could not go inot the same room the urn was in. Some people say that i over reacted and that i need to get over it. I had to go to the vet by myself and get the urn when, I saw the urn I thought this is not my sweet katie. But, it was.  I have another doxie now, I love her but, there will never be another katie. Katie, and I had been thru some tough times and good ones. Katie, was born in florida and lived in Ga. She was a red doxie and had such a beautiful personality .. I remember coming home after Katire, had passed and thought my heart has a big hole in it. I will say that my vet took good care of Katie and he was with her at the end.  He helped me as well. I will always wonder if I did the right thing by having her cremented, I hope I did. :comfort:

Many here have suffered the same pain you are feeling now.  None of us feel that you should get over it - it is something we carry always.  A lot of people don't understand the connection that some folks have with their furkids - we here do !    It is nice to know that you have a vet that supports you and helps you through.  I don't think you did the wrong thing by having her cremated - I plan to do the same thing and someday you will find comfort in having the urn of her ashes.
