I just got an email from a cousin I have never met. She saw my card (advertising my art) on the board at a local healthy pet food store and recognized the name so emailed me. Turns out she is an artist too and look at the pastel painting she did that she sent me an image of! A longhaired doxie! How spooky (and very cool) is that.

That is so interesting! Did you recognize the cousin's name when they explained who they were? That's kind of freaky actually.

Very cool, and she has a neat style.
We just found some more "Sacheck" relatives we didn't know we had. We thought the name was on its way out, but apparently there are some college-age guys that will carry on the name.

I haven't emailed her back yet, she said she rode to school on the bus with my brothers. I did not know about her but I do recognize who her Mother is (my Dad's cousin). It sounds like we have a lot in common so I am going to email as soon as I have more than a minute to devote. Extra cool since I've lost most of my family, that she would turn up! :) I'm guessing she lives within an hour at most since the store she was at is about 40 min from me.

That's neat you found more Sachek's Patty, my nephews will be carrying on the Murry name...although Murry isn't really our name lol. (we're Dunlaps! Dee Dee Dunlap....not quite the same ring...)

Wow! That is soooo cool! I hope she turns out to be a good family member - you deserve that after losing everyone you've lost.

That doxie looks like Gretchie - the shape of her face and the short hair on her ears and it looks like she has very little tan markings on her face, like Gretch.

It really does look like Gretchie doesn't it! That is spookier yet :jaw: Very cool though, the more I look at it now the more I see Gretch.

Must be Gretchie I don't see any white hairs painted in the eyebrows ... whaaa!!!

That is cool to find a relative out of the blue like that, and to be an artist too! How cool is that, hope this is the begining of a great new friendship. How is Hallie doing on the Puppercorn?? Hope she enjoyed all her treats. Thanks for putting so many cute pics of her on your post.

Wonder if the NCA will take dogs with white hairs in their eyebrows. Whaa!!

Hallie is loving the pupcorn Brenda! She gets to choose one herself at least once a day. She loves EVERYTHING you and Julia picked out :) I don't know how we wil top that for the next pupper. Thanks again so much it was so much fun!

Let me assure you Julia and I had so much fun, and some of those items just screamed Hallie's name!!! Mocha sends her regards to Hallie. She says, "Hallie, eat a puppercorn for me!! Mom wouldn't let me try any of those treats we sent you. It wasn't fair!!!"
