Our seniorest of weiners, Max, really has a hard enough time dealing with a very active 2 1/2 year old in the house.   So, when it's Playgroup Day, Max knows exactly what to do.   As soon as other kids start showing up, Max knows it's time to get out of Dodge and he retreats to the bedroom, where he climbs into his doggie bed until the coast is clear.   Because of his small size, all the kids think he is a "puppy", not quite realizing that he is many, many, many years older than them, and in most cases was around before their parents ever got married.

Otherwise, Max is doing okay physically, considering his age, but mentally he is definitely slipping.  All of his various neuroses that he has had throughout his life have only become exacerbated in his old age.  One example is that as long as we were in the house, he was okay.  Now, if I'm downstairs and "out of sight", he will start howling.

Here is a picture of Jessica & Max having a "peaceful" moment.  It's getting tough to take pictures of Jessica these days as she squints her eyes as soon as she sees the camera!

What a great picture!!!

Porky here- I think I would've hid too!!  Even though I love kids, sometimes they can get a little rough and I'm just a young pup myself.  Can't imagine if I was old and sore what that would be like to have a houseful of kids all day!

WOW!  I would say run and hide too MAx!  Those little hands are a little too loving sometimes!  Cajsa knows this well and she's only 3!

THat is a very sweet pic of Max and Jessica.  Does she just like Blue's clues?  (It looks like the book she's holding is Blue's Clues.)  Elf loves the Backyardigans and she will dance and try to sing with them.  I don't think she's ever seen Blue...

I think our most Senior Weiner is one smart boy to get out of Dodge with the infiltration of the short hoomans!  Hang in there buddy....your doing just great!  What a nice picture that is of the two of them!  I had to laugh about the "squint".  Both of my girls did the same thing in front of the camera when they were Jessica's age!
