Sad Story about abuse and petition to sign!

I don't know if any of you have heard about Mercy the dog? Mercy, the name given the dog by Operation Kindness volunteers was rescued Friday, April 14 by a Dallas man as she was huddled in a wooded area behind an apartment complex near Belt Line and Preston in North Dallas. The dog had been badly injured and was bleeding.  Mercy's injuries include being kicked and stabbed multiple times and left to die. The vet thinks she also has chemical burns and she may have been dragged behind a car.  Veterinarians later determined Mercy had been doused with gasoline and then lit on fire. Mercy was a 10 month old puppy who died from her wounds. Please sign this petition to see that the man who did this gets the maximum sentence possible!

This is just so sad - it makes me sick to my stomach.  Thanks for posting the link to the petition.  It came through my work e-mail last week.  I just pray they throw the book at the men.
